ZHURUNOVA & LOKATYR

The creative association has existed since 2015, starting from the first joint project at the winter land art festival Mythogenesis (Vinnytsia, Ukraine). Both participants — Marharyta Zhurunova (Vinnytsia, 29.11.1994) and Bohdan Lokatyr (Lviv, 04.05.1993) — studied together at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing and became partners and co-authors.
Recent projects include site-specific installations in quarries, riverbeds and village landscapes. Many works are connected to the Mogrytsia quarry in Sumy region; themes explore how fertile land is shaped by human labour and memory.
